Scraptastic Getaway Retreats.

Retreats are a great way to get away from our busy lives to concentrate on the hobby we love. If you have never tried one before I suggest you do. You won't stop talking about it and will hopefully invite all your friends for the next one. Crafters of all kinds are welcome!

Here's how it works. Friday you get there and unpack your scrap stuff and get organized in your space. Take your belongings to your room and get settled. Maybe throw on your comfies and slippers! All meals are catered by our lovely hosts. They will advise us when the meals are ready. ( There will be a tenative schedule posted) You are allowed to BYOB there are fridges and glasses on hand. You can even bring additional snacks if you wish. Your job is to get those pages done, have a great time laughing and socializing, sharing ideas, looking at other scrappers work. The key is to power lay-out before you go. If you take the time before the date of the retreat you will be amazed how much you can get accomplished. Have a page layout in mind or technique you want to use, print out your photos in the sizes you want, pick your coordinating paper, embellishments, techniques and tools you will need. I go as far as writing down the information for each page on a list so I don't miss anything. Write down the items that you need and go shopping on my site beforehand. When you go to pack for the retreat you will be amazed at how much less stuff you will be bringing because you are only bringing what you will need for those pages and not the whole kitchen sink. You will get to scrapbook Thursday or Friday afternoon from 3:00pm to Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm. That's 2 days of complete, total, uninterrupted attention to your scrapbooking! It's the best feeling in the world. No meals to worry about, no laundry to do, no fights to stop, no kids whining, no dishes to do. You scrap and scrap some more. It will be a small intimate group, maximum of 15 ladies.
